Hi Mario,

Yes you can install it on 2003 but Windows 2008 R2 x64 could be better.

Remember Kernel 7.00 is replace it by 7.20.

Note 1629598 - SAP Kernel 720 will replace older kernel versions

Hi Mario,

In the PDF version of SAP Netweaver 7.0 PAM you don´t see Windows 2003 X64, but in the complete PAM application you can see that is supported.

In this application there is a note that indicate that Microsoft Standard support for Windows 2003 X64 has finished on 2013/7/13, but it continues supporting in the extended support until 2015/7/14.

My recommendation is to not use Windows 2003 x64 for new installations and go considering migrating existing systems.

Best Regards,

Iñigo

Hi,

as I already mentioned last week (don't know how my reply got's deleted):

Please do no longer install and use Windows Server 2003 X64.

The design of this operating system is almost 13 years old and NOT able to support current hardware (even you are able to install 2003 on it).

Especially plenty of processors, large memory configurations (they start with 8 GB of memory) and virtualisation (Hyper-V supports only 2 processors on Windows Server 2003 guests) will cause you headaches which will only disappear when using current operating systems.

The minimum I can recomment is Windows Server 2008 R2 X64.

regards

Peter

Hello Mario,

Please check the attached snapshot. Its still supported.

But I will suggest to use the WINDOWS 2008 as Windows 2003 will be out of maintenance soon.

I hope it helps.

Gaurav
