Hi experts
We have 2 different excise registrations for two plants.now we have to merge both the excise registrations in one. pl suggest the precautions / necessary config to do the same considering all existing balances, open POs, GRs etc
thanks in advance
Hi,
Practically speaking if you have two plants they should have two excise registration as they will have their own address, locations etc. But if excise dept allowed you to merge them, you cna maintain same excise and seris grps for both the plants. In CIN there will be same settings for both the plants.

Hi Nilesh,
Seems you have not gone through the detailed clarification and requirement given by me in above communications. Putting the same again for ref as under:
"We have 2 different excise registrations for two plants (Existing configuration in SAP).now we have to merge both the excise registrations in one. pl suggest the precautions / necessary config to do the same considering all existing balances, open POs, GRs etc"
Hope the requirement is clear now.
regards
Hi Rajat,
If there are two excise registrations means two plants will be there you mean to say you are merging two plants into one plant. What is the specific requirement for merging. Kindly give some more inputs and legal implications regarding the issue.
