Hi Experts,

I am new to SAP PI and have below queries on Queues

  1. Is the processing of queues(Sender System->AE->IE) and inbound(SMQ2) IE->AE->Target System)is same for all scenarios (SAP to non-SAP and vie versa).
  2. As I observed always SMQ2 queue is stuck and I never seen SMQ1 Queue stuck

Please clarify

regarding your first question, In addition to Michal's reply about adapter list that goes directly to IE engine bypassing adapter engine, you can also include WS adapter. You might also want to see sap standard help links regarding this topic

Hi,

>>>>Is the processing of queues(Sender System->AE->IE) and inbound(SMQ2) IE->AE->Target System)is same for all scenarios (SAP to non-SAP and vie versa).

no, for SAP systems using IDOCs and old proxies and old HTTP adapter they go directly to IE without AE at all

>>>As I observed always SMQ2 queue is stuck and I never seen SMQ1 Queue stuck

outbound queues are also used if this is your question - have a look at tuning parametes in SXMB_ADM

integration engine config
