Mat Master freely definable fields

Hi,

can you Pls. let me know what are the available Freely definable fields in MAterial master.

Like sayMaterial Description, Old material Number etc, where we can enter details freely without any drop down of predefined values.

Hi,

As you dont want drop down there than you can chhose text fields like MMR>BASIC DATA2>DESIGN DRAWING>DOCUMENT.

But there are many more so please let us know your requirement in detail.

Hi,

1.Field basic material(MARA – WRKST) is an IMG Activity and it will come as drop down.

          Img>Log Gen>Mat Master>Settings for Key fields>Define Basic Materials.

2. If you do not want drop down than can store data into this filed and change message to warning.

3. field MARA – WRKST is not used in SAP programs so you need to decide how to use it.

4. For better clarification check customizing document.

You have so many fields in the material master

Basically these are fields which dont have any configuration in the backend.

Gross weight

Net weight

Volume

Size

Reorder point

Planning cycle

and so many other freely defined fields based on the Department/View
