How to structure SOLAR02 according to user define as following

- Project Preparation

- Project management

- Project administration

- Business blueprint

     > FICO

     > Logistics

Hi,

Solar01 has 3 level hierarchy

1. Business scenario -> give any name like "Project 1"

2. Business process -> like "Project 1 preparation", "Project 1 management"

3. Business process step -> select project 1 preparation -> add the step like "requirement gathering" and add the transaction, project specific documents.

Hi ,

Please could anyone assist to answer above question. If not in solar02 maybe for solar01 or RMMAIN?  WHich would be the best? to track the project timeline and to structure the nodes according to our requirement in solman

I guess, RMMAIN would suit you better, provided you have selected the Roadmap scope while creating a Project in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN. SOLAR01/02 are part of bigger roadmap that you can see in RMMAIN. As  Jansi mentioned, when it comes to BPM it will follow strict 3 level Hierarchy.

How about reporting? Wht report can I use to track the progress of the project for each phase. Is there any report available in standrad or we need to customise.

Hi Mitra,

But RMMAIN and Solar01/02 both has different purpose.

RMMAIN is most for Roadmaps, means solution manager provides some standard SAP implementation methodology which includes all the phases and steps needs to be taken care during implementation.

( Kind of guided procedure for SAP Implementation),, Roadmaps also has tools and some accelerators to improve the implementation tasks. And you can assign the people for responsible for each phase. Of Course you can save document which you want to use for project implementation based on this methodology.

Again this is just before you start the project, you tried to fix yourself for follow some guided methodology and assign team members,

But solar01,solar02 it is for document your business processes during project implementation and here the person you assigned responsible for BP design ( which taken by solar01) and implementation (by solar02). There are much more functionality available with respect to the document management.

my suggestion, what is your requirement, If you want some guidance for Project roadmap with small scale of document management , like only store the documents, then go for RMMAIN

Else if you look for complete document management scope go for solar01, and adopt your structure to 3 level hierarchy.

There is an inbuilt reporting available, you can go to SOLAR_EVAL txn code and explore yourself.
