BO4 - Business security profile not showing business layers

Hi,

Have created a busines layer view to hide certain class from certain users but when select Insert Granted only see the master business view.

Want to see the new business layer and apply to the group concerned.

What am I doing wrong?

Philip,

     You need to do all this within the IDT tool.

- First launch IDT, and open session to CMS

- next from Windows > Click Security Editor.  This will show list of all Users/Groups on right and on the left show all the UNX within you CMS.

- next from the left Right-Click on the UNX and select Insert Business Security Profile.

- From the CREATE QUERY TAB select Insert Granted or Denied, you will now see VIEWS

- Select the View and then from the right-side select the User/Group you want to Grant/Deny.

Thanks.

Reason wasn't working was fact hadn't republished universe with business layer view.

Needed to publish to have available in security layer.

Hi,

Have created business security profile and applied to Group but the members of the group are still seeing the master business layer view.

Republished universe but still seeing the master busines slayer rather than the business layer which they have been granted to.

Is there something I'm missing - do we need to republish the security profile or something?
