Sales office and profit centre is not appearing in few of the sales orders but its appearing in some of the sales orders for the same sold to party.

Could you please tell me why this is  happening?

What are those that I need to check inorder to get the sales office updated in the sales order.

Hi Mohamed,

Check  assignment of sales office to the sales area in the enterprise structure.

Also check in the material master ---> sales:general/plant data , whether profit center is there or not.

Mohamed,

For the same customer (Sold to customer), the Sales Office could be different for different Sales areas.

The customer & sales area (sales organization, distribution channel and division) - input these values in table KNVV (t-code SE16N) and then find if there is any value of Sales office (KNVV-VKBUR). This value should populate in your sales order.

Hi Murshid,

See Basically Sales Office comes from Customer Master. So check whether, the Sales Office is maintained in Customer Master. Also check the Assignment for the same with sales area in spro.

For Profit Center, please check that it is assign in Material Master or not. Basically the profit center is coming from Material Master in Sales Org. 2 View. If it is assign there , the systems will automatically it will trigger in the sales Order.

Hi Sai,

Sales orders are created from work orders through a customized transaction.

It is picking sales office for few of the work orders alone.

Hi neeraj,

the sales office is valid for the sales area and it has displayed the sales office for the same sold to party in different sales orders

If customer master has sales office in  sales area view for which you are creating sales order then it should copy in sales order. This is the only automatic determination of sales office works in standard  SAP.

Also check sales order, its creation date where sales office did not determine and change log in customer master.... This may help you to find cause.

Otherwise check if there is any zdevelopment working. You may take help of abaper..

Dear,

It is picking sales office for few of the work orders alone.

May I know ,where is the relation b/w Work Order and Sales Office ?

Actually , Sales Office is related to Customer Master especially  Sold To Party .Now this Sales Office is reflected into Sales Order from Customer Master .From where ,this sales office is picking into Work Order ? Is it from Customer Master or else with any another settings ?

I thought ,in your work order ,you are maintaining Sold Party who had  that Sales Office  thats why It is coming into Work Order .

The sales office is valid for the sales area and it has displayed the sales office for the same sold to party in different sales orders .

Better than check your Customer Master once again in all sales ares to which sales are It is not picking or else go and check in Table Level ,Is that Customer Sales areas having Sales Office or not .

Thanks,

Naren

Mohamed,

Please give the document flow (first what > then what etc.)

The sales order where the sales office is not populating, is the sales office populating in the reference work orders?

FYI

One point, if you have a work order, is it necessary to create a sales order (with reference to a work order)?

Normally sales office copies from customer if it is not typed in VA01 selection screen.

Criteria is sales office should be valid for that sales area and assigned in spro.

For Profit center Sai Krishna already answered you.

Sai,

The OP is asking that in some sales orders the sales areaoffice is not getting populated automatically; whereas in some sales orders it is getting populated, for the same Sold to party customer. Why is the system behaving in this manner?

Your suggested link / document does not address the above question!

In the document there is only one line about sales areaoffice, and that is -

Entries for the sales office and the sales group are optional.

Would you agree?

Hi TW,

Why i have given that link is to inform OP that sales office are optional, if we don't enter at the time of order creation, the system will not pick-up the sales office..

I just checked in the system, even if we don't enter the sales office, it is still taking from customer master. Sorry, i Never noticed this.

Now, we got another dimension from OP that orders are being created with customized T.code, so, we have to look from other direction.

Regards, Sai Krishna.
