Hi,
havent worked on SAP GRC, but wanted to know if GRC MSMP Workflow's are different from R/3 Workflow's.
How are GRC WF's handled, triggered, administered? Are there templates available or handled thru configuration settings?
Thanks,
Aditya V
Hi Aditya,
SAP GRC 10 Workflow's are not different from the R/3 workflow's, but the way see it is that GRC has a layer of customizing and parameters settings that will generate the SAP standard workflow's in the background, making the management of the GRC workflow's more user friendly to GRC Admin's. This way a GRC Admin does not need to be a SAP Workflow expert.
If you are a SAP Workflow expert, you will still be able to see the workflow paths, tasks, work items, containers and data, etc.., using SAP standard transactions.
My answer is from a SAP GRC point of view.
Handled?
The main transaction is SLG1, and GRFNMW_DBGMONITOR_WD
Triggered?
By SAP GRC events. (Request creation, Data maintenance, etc..)
Administered?
GRC Customizing, GRC Parameters, BRF+
Are there templates available or handled thru configuration settings?
SAP delivers standard templates and configured workflow's, but these can be customized.
The following SCN space has a lot of documentation about GRC.

The following document gives a good overview of the GRC workflow customizing.
