Hi All:
Is it possible to delete the messages from the XI engine? If yes then how?

Yes it is possible as explained above..
Also try to execute the RSWF_XI_INSTANCES_DELETE..

For message with errors or cancelled, you can run the report
RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES.
for successful messages, as mentioned by Cornelius.
messages will be deleted automatically once the retention period reached.
anyway, for you XI system, you should consider the archived and deletion concept for your AFW, IS & BPE.

You can use the report RSXMB_DELETE_MESSAGES.
Only successfully processed messages can be deleted.
