Physical Inventory for storage type 100

Hello All ,

Ours is a WM managed Storage location . We are having physical inventory scheduled. There are many materials in  one master Prodcution Bin under 100 storage type .  We have a master bin in 100 storage type which is  replineshed using LP21 transaction.

How can I do the physical inventory for this bin ?  Is it correct that we cannot do physical inventory for materials in  a master bin in 100 storage type?

Hello Nikhil,

Are your talking about the annual inventory or you just want to carry out physical inventory on storage type 100?

Few steps you need to take care before going for PI.

Make sure system is not showing "transportation active" while creating PI document as in that case you wont be able to create PI doc. Check for all open TR and TO for 100 storage type and close all the such documents and then create Inventory document for this storage type.

While carrying out PI, all bins(or specific bin - if you are carrying out PI on selected bins) will be blocked for any kind of material postings.

Hi Nikhil,

As long as the inventory procedure  is assigned to your storage type 100, you can carry out the physical inventory for the bins created for it. If the master bin is used for replenishment it will be blocked for material postings when inventory is carried out.
