ATP with BOM components

Hi at all,

I've got an issue regarding ATP determination with BOM materials.

I have a material A with 3 components (B, C, D). Only BCD are relevant for ATP and picking, A is only relevant for price determination.

I am creating an order with delivery date 17.05.2013. Everything could be allocated, only a part of D is not available. That means that the order cannot be delivered due to the delivery group is not complete. The problem now is the fact, that even the main component is completely confirmed to 17.05.13 althoug 1 component is not available. That means that the order confirmation says that the goods could be delivered in time - although they couldn't...

Is there a solution only to confirm the main material, when the components are completely available?

See SAP note 72688 which states:

1. b) When the delivery is created manually (Transaction VL01N), the standard procedure makes it possible to transfer the available part of the delivery group into the delivery. A log indicates that the delivery group is incomplete. It is assumed that only a technical specialist carries out this transaction and can make the decision of whether an incomplete delivery group may be delivered.

If you want to change this behaviour, you can apply the modification in note 72688.

As you are using Delivery Group, COMPLETE DELIVERY is only the option as in standard
