Hi experts,

I wonder how to consume Java Web Dynpro component in VC model.

I have managed to do that in NWDS but not in Web VC.

Moreover, I didn't manage to insert JWD component into VC Service Component.

In general, what are the rules of consuming JWD component inside of VC model?

maybe there is any useful document. I will be apriciated for your comments.

Sincerely,

Anton

Hi Anton,

It's not possible to consume WD components in VC web version. This is possible in NWDS only.

The documentation about how to do that can be found here:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/47/f4a75768fe49cfbd351b84641ec060/content.htm?frameset=...

Regarding your question about service component: I've never tried that but I don't see a difference between a service component and the main model. I guess it should be possible.

Best regards,

Anja

Hi Anja,

thank you the the reply.

One more think I wanted to ask about connection fom VC elements to JWD.

I see that it is a peace of cacke to make connection between Data Source and JWD, data mapping is available.

But having tried to make conection from Filter element I came across dufficulties. I couldn't make data mapping directly.

What should I do in the case?  Should I wrap something from my model with Service Component and connect it to WD component or implement something else?

Sincerely,

Anton

Hi Anton,

I believe the connection should be possible for operators as well. If the connection from a Service Component works OK you could use it as a workaround -

... -> Filter -> Service Component -> WD.

the service component should have the interface to match the dataset coming from the Operator, using Data In and Data Out elements, with a link between them:

Thanks,

Udi

Hi Ehud,

I did the same thing which you have suggested me.

Thank you for advise.

Anton
