SQL connection in MSC

Hi Guys,

I have added another Solution Manager  system to my Solution Manager.

While doing the MSC for that system. i am getting the error while entering DB Parameters.

Please advice.

Hi,

I see the Monitor Login use method is set as SQL Authentication. Whereas Administrator login usually works via the Windows authentication mode on the SQL Server.

Please check via the SQL management studio if Administrator can login via SQL authentication method. Else use <SID>adm user in SQL authentication mode.

Hi,

you must use the DB user not the os user, the user ID would be <SAPSID>. Not the windows login user issue.

if not the case, try to give full host name with database server

Hi,

Please let us know the parameters you are entering and the error you get in detail. A screenshot would help as well. The managed system setup wizard provides a log for activities executed.
