Hi Praveen,

I am facing the same problem with the error appearing while trying to select Group/Server. When I checked my service file, it already had sapms<INST ID> 3600/tcp.

How can I resolve this error? Please help!!

Shalini

Hi shalini,

Open the services file on your local desktop where you have installed sap GUI .

Maintain the entry sapms<SID> 36¢$$ and hit enter.

Save the file .

It will resolve your issue.

Hi Praveen,

Just double check this... after adding the entry in services file for your system eg:

sapmsSID 36<instance nr>/tcp and don't forget to press enter and save it.... once you done all these definitely it should pop up.

Hi Praveen,

In place of connection type --group/server selcetion  you can use custome application server.
