Hi Everyone,
Can anyone pleas explain me the cut over activities performed in GATP implementation project, and the time consumed in it.
Regards,
Vinay
Hi Vinay,
Following are the activities normally done during cut-over phase.
1) Checking of CIF integration models. - 1 day
2) Strategy for handling open orders, new orders and uploading new orders. - 1.5 - 2 days
3) Strategy for handling STOs. - 1 - 2 days
4) Uploading allocation quantities. 0.5 day
5) Taking end to end run. 1 - 2 days
6) Checking if all existing receipts are consumed. 0.5 day
7) Testing of all the reports.
So for a bigger project it might take 1 - 1.5 weeks for cut-over to complete and might go down to 3 days to 1 week for a small to medium project.

Hi Vinay,
Usually, we will have the following cutover activities in a gATP Implementation Project. I am writing the generalised topics here. Though there can be design specific activities.
Customization & Coding Validation - Usually 3 to 4 hours
CIF Integration Model Setup - Usually 12 hours to 24 hours depending on the master data load
ODL regeneration - Usually 3 to 4 hours depending on the number of plants
Product Allocation Uploads - Usually 3 to 4 hours. Depends on the requirements.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you
