hello gurus,
plz help me in this topic "who exactly.... starts gateway service" while starting sap.
If there is any already posted thread on this topic means, can u plz get me that thread, i searched on this topic but i couldnt find the exact answer. I expect a help froom you people

The SAP Gateway is made up of :
-> Gateway read process
-> Gateway monitor
Gateway read (gwrd, gwrd.exe) is the main process in the gateway system.
It is started by the <i>application server (dispatcher)</i> and checked by it periodically.
Under UNIX and Windows you start and stop the SAP Gateway together with the SAP System. The gateway is started by the dispatcher. No special entries are required in the sapstart script.
To start and stop standalone instances of the SAP Gateway you use the SAP Service Manager.
The SAP Gateway has very little to do with IGS (Internet Graphic Server) and is certainly not started by the IGS.
