Hi Experts,
While working on the concept of workflows, I came across the concept of process owners. As per the definition given in the SAP's help documentation of the sourcing system, a workflow process owner is used to trigger the workflow and execute the workflow script. But this definition is a little ambigous to understand.
I have a few queries on the usage of process owner. It be very helpful if somebody can help to get the answers for the below mentioned queries:-
Wwhat is the advantage we will be deriving if we have a workflow process owner separately?
We know that it's used to trigger the daemon, but why does SAP recommends and allows to maintain a single process owner. Will it improve workflow process daemon by adding always a single account as process owner? What’s the reason behind recommendation?.
Are we going to lose anything if we don’t have a workflow process owner maintained?
Why the process owner shall not be given login rights? As per SAP's recommendation, if a context specific process owner is not added, then the document owner will be added as the process owner. But the document owner always has the rights to login into the system. Will it lead to any security vulnerability?
Thanks in advance!
