Any functinality avilable to monitor the system backup status using solution manager in landscape system.

This should be available through Technical Monitoring (MAI infrastructure - Solution Manager 7.1)

If you no longer want the CCMS like me.
in fact, with MAI, we should be in solman 7.1 SP10 or with template Oracle Release 13, to be able to monitor the backup status :

column : Last brbackup run.

Even after setup ccms monitoring segment, you can set the BPMon for alert notification,

Use the BPMon cross application, CCMS monitor.

or you can move the New technical monitoring,

If you dont find any answers, I suppose you can generate custom alerts from your backup process and then send to solman or directly via email
