Translate Material Description in SRM

Hello,

  All the materials, that were created in our system, have a description in Hebrew.

I would like to translate part of the materials' descriptions to English.

I couldn't find how to do it.

The materials were created in TCode MM01, and transfered to SRM via TCode R3AS.

Hi Rami,

if you need a direct translation in SRM - you could try transaction COMMPR01.

Hello Konstantin,

  I am familiar with this transaction, but when I'm in change mode, there's no

option of writing a translation.

In the material tab I can't add a translation and also in the general tab I have no option of adding it.

Hi Rami,

yes, you are right. It's because your materials are replicated and should be translated in SRM.

You could try change a value, returned by function COM_PRODUCT_SET_CHANGEABLE to X, to make a meterial changeable.

Also you can try to play with BADI COM_PRODUCT_LOGSYS.

Why do you not just update the translation in ERP and re-replicate the product data?
