Stop transferring attachment from SRM to ECC for PO

Dear SAP experts,

We are in SRM 7.01 with backend ECC 6.05, deploying classic scenario. We are not using DMS, so we wouldnt have attachment transferred from SRM to ECC. However we see that in the XML message, the system try to transfer attachment asn the XML message size become large whenever there are attachment reside in SC.

Is there a way we can configure so that the attachment from SRM will not be transferred to ECC?

Hello,

When using ESOA, attachments would be transferred automatically, without configurations needed for RFC case (like BAdIs or transactions dc10, dc20 in ECC side).

As mentioned above, the best option would be via ESOA BAdI.

I think you will have to implement /SAPSRM/BD_SOA_MAPPING and delete the attachment data.
