Hi Friends,
We are implementing Depo sales in our client.
We are confused, at which areas Excise Accouting documents will get generate.
Regards,
Ramakrishna
Hi,
As 'Depot' is not a 'Manufacturing Unit' and as per Excise Rule, there should not be any accounting for excise duty amounts in Depot. Excise duties from manufacturing plant are captured at the time of MIGO or through J1IG. These duty amounts are updated in RG23D register as incoming duty and system doesn't generates any accounting document.
Now, at the time of Sale from Depot, excise invoice is created through J1IJ by referring the incoming captured excise invoice. System updates the excise duties in RG23D register against the incoming captured invoice. Again at this time also system will not generate any accounting document.
The duties are just updated as incoming and outgoing in RG23D register without any accounting.

Hi,
In Depot, there wont be any excise accounting documents generated since you cannot avail any excise credit in Depot.
Normal Scenario is you stock transfer the material from your manufacturing plant to your depot with excise and then you sell the material to the customer by passing over the same excise i.e. since there is no value addition happening in depot you cannot charge extra.
Process Flow in Depot.
Good Receipt using MIGO
Excise Invoice @ Depot - J1IG (Excise Capture)
Create Sale Order
Create Delivery
Excise Invoice for delivery @ Depot - J1IJ (Excise Reference)
Create Customer Invoice
Thanks n Regards,

Please elaborate your query in detail.. You can create an Excise invoice for Depot sale in J1IJ.
