Budget check not working

Dear All,

Need experts suggestion on this issue of budget control failure.

Certain cases have been found in our system where the Production order

booked value is more than the released budget of the concerned

WBS.Incurrence reported in standard reports is more than the released

budget in such cases due to this reason.

We assume that budget control check has not worked due to some reasons

for these cases. We have not been able to find the root cause of the

problem.Only thing that we could find out is that in all these cases ,

WBS system status is ISBD.

The attachment shows one sample case where Production order booked value is

more than released budget.

For information the following configuration settings is available

for budget availability control in our SAP system

Activation type is 1 Usage ( In budget profile)

Tolerance Group is ++ (Tolerance Limit)

Availability control action is 3 with Usage 100.5 (Tolerance Limit) .

Whenever the order cost exceeds the budget ,ISBD -insufficient Budgetting  status is set,the configuration for availability control is fine. Please try reconstruct availability control  and after reconstructing availability control  update project data base using tcode CJEN

Thanks for the suggestions.

We have been able to find the root cause of this issue through SAP note 801961.

As per above note system allows certain actual postings like revaluation, repostings, more than the released budget .

Above note corrections will restrict such postings if there is no available budget.

HI,

Please check with the below mentioned SAP Notes for your reference:

178837 :Availability control: Assigned value Calculation

166394 :Tolerence Limits of Active Availability control

152571 :Composite SAP Note: Missing or incorrect Commitments .

And try to Restructure the project once with CJEN , followed by CJBN and OPSX.

It is working fine with all Orders.

We have found few exception cases , where budget control has not worked.
