I have a 3GB high volume file coming from legacy system.
This file is going to be available for me on SAP PI/PO Application server.
Do I have any UNIX shell script to split this file into pieces of 5MB and then process each file for one message ID?
Appreciate your help in sending me the UNIX Shell Script that has been this tested by this requirement.
Hi Shyam,
I wrote the article referred by Tulasiram Donkena long time ago. The case was a complicated one. I think the script needed in your case will be much simpler. If you go through the code in the article , I am sure you will be able to write one yourself. Please take help of BASIS team to schedule the script in PI server. Finally its better to split the file based on number of lines(say 1000 lines each file ) rather than on basis of size. This is because we need complete lines for the FCC to function later.
