Hi,
This is related to 4.7/Oracle 9.x/AIX.
Sometimes my batch jobs are stuck and when I go to SM50 and double click the job then in the next screen there is a section called "waiting f.". It says "gateway" here.
I could not find anything good in SMGW. SM58 also shows the status "Transaction processing".
These things normally run in few munits but sometimes just hang. I kill the job and restart and it works fine.
I did not find anything good on OSS also. I am very sure that there is no gateway bottlenect and system is also not very busy.
Is there anything i can do to push this job without cancelling?
Please let me know if yu have any idea.
Thank you.
Sume.
Dear Sume,
this will happen if the job tries to start an RFC and is not able to do so. In order to analyse, you should first install the latest kernel patch. If that does not solve the problem, it will be necessary to trace the job in question in level 2. It might be a good idea to open a message with SAP on component BC-CST to get this analyzed.
Regards,
Tim

Hi,
is there an external command or program executed as a job step?
Check the execution of this external program.
Maybe the job is just waiting for the external program?

Sascha
