Parallel Processing for integration models

Can someone give me more information regarding the use of parallel processing with generating and activating integration models? Is there a significant improvement in time saved, performance, etc.

Well, In our case, we had to CIF about 9500 Recipes from R/3 to APO. With Packet Size of 30, the time dramatically improves for objects like PPMs.

However, Packet Size is a trade-off between Speed and Master Data Accuracy.

Precaution: 30 was on SAP Recommendation, and was customer specific.
