Stopping/Restarting all R/3 to APO CIF queues

Former Member

We are a week away from an upgrade from APO 3.0 to SCM 5.0, and we will be stopping all the R/3 outbound CIF queues. When we go to restart the CIF queues, we will open and process Master Data completely before opening and processing transaction queues one at a time. We are looking for information on the sequence to open them in.

We anticipate processing the transaction queues while re-loading time-series live cache data from back-up cubes. Interested in feedback for or against this approach.

Hai Stacy,

Check with our Maestro Somnath's answer. Hope this helps.

This doesn't help. I am looking for a recommendation or best practice for a sequence and/or steps in re-starting and processing the CIF queues after a technical upgrade from 3.0 to 5.0 is complete.

just in case this helps: the documentation on Upgrade on Unix says this

"depending on how you have stopped the CIF queues - run /SAPAPO/RCIFRESTART in order to restart the queues"

(havent done an upgrade on SCM with CIF)
