GATP using interchangeability master data

Former Member

Hi friends,

I am having below issues when using interchangeability master data for GATP, hope I find some answers from experts :

I am using supersession chains.

1) Subsituition chain looks like this A<->B<->C. All 3 products are fully interchangeable and have wants "use-up" indicator active. But the actual requirement is that I should consume A inventory first and then B followed by C irrespective of what product my order comes-in for.

2) I am not able to use the supersession data directly. I want to use superssion without condition technique. So, on check instructions I have only "Inc Master data" checked. when I create order in ECC, I see that its not even considering supersession products at all.

Please help.

Hi,

1) In that case you should setup the direction of the INC group to "forward" and create a group for each product with "forward":

A:  A->  B -> C

B:  A -> B -> C

C:  A -> B -> C

2) follow the SAP help and recheck your customizing:

Keep in mind: Without Condition technique you can just to product substitution.

Hope this helps.

best regards,

Michael
