Agent Administration Authorization in SAP Solution Manager

Hi Everyone   I'm having trouble with authorization in Solution Manager 7.1 SP05. I'm trying to register an Agent to an existing SLD. When I try to go to the "Agent Candidates Management" so I can register the agent, I get the error "Authorization error when accessing the Agent Candidates Management".    I searched around and came across the SAP note 1758384 and it said I should assign the role SAP_RCA_AGT_ADM_VIA_SLD to the user. I did that but when I try to generate it on PFCG I get the error "Role does not contain any active authorizations". Any ideas on how I can solve this?     Thanks you very much.

You can register the agent by using the smdsetup script in /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/script

Like the note says, you don't really need to enter the agent candidates management.

Otherwise SAP_ALL and SAP_J2EE_ADMIN roles should get you there.

Hi,

Please find here the steps to smd agent registration, you can choose any one either Direct solman registration.

Normally for all solman_Setup activity should be done by SAP_ALL access user to avoid this kind of issues.
