Add-on ST_A/PI need Upgrade to ST-A/PI 01L_ECC6 to ST-A/PI 01Q_700

Hi All,

I have a requirement from my Client.

As Early watch Alert is sowing alerts as below for my DEV.

Current Soft. Comp. :-

SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABAP is Release 700 and Patch Level 26

ST-PI 2005_1_700 SP 06

Query:-

1) I am searching ST-A/PI 01Q_700 in Marketplace Not getting this add-on insert of this i am getting ST-A/PI 01N_700

2) Also ST-PI current version 2005_1_700 SP 06 and need to update 2008_1_700 Patch 07 So, I need Installation or upgrade Add-on Pack ?

Can Someone guide me on this regards..

Search for the SAPKITAB7J. Also check the Note 69455.

My Current ST-A/PI is 01L_ECC600 patch level 0000 and need to go to ST-A/PI 01Q_700

I beleave I need a upgrade add-on to deploy here. can you please guide me.

Hi,

If you want to upgrade an Add-on, please use tcode SAINT. You can do as as below steps:

1. use sapcar to extract the .sar file that you downloaded from SMP.

2. copy it into EPS/in folder.

3. Use tcode SAINT, upload extracted file to SAINT.

4. Upgrade the new add-on (it may need to upgrade some more add-ons than ST-A/PI).

Thanks for your reply. But i was not looking the procedure to Deploy a Add-on.

Anyway I got my required Add-ons in SMP.

hello sandeep,

Please check the extended attributes of the package. It says RE-INSTALL = TRUE .

If you are just upgrading your ST-A/PI using the SAINT it should be okay. If you are upgrading your st-A/PI during the upgrade, check the note 69455 for the details.
