Inconsistancy in stock posting through inspection lot

Hello Experts,

I am facing error message (Error message is M7022) in stock posting through Inspection lot.

I have a batch managed material activated for 01 insp type with control insp lot creation for Material document, material, batch, storage location.

I have created a Purchase order with 3-4 line items with same material.

I have done MIGO for 103 G.R into blocked stock.

(item 10 Material - ABC qty 10

item 20 material ABC qty 15

item 30 material  ABC qty 20)

1 Inspection lot has created for 3-4 line items (inspection lot qty 45) from P.O, which is working perfect.

now when i am doing UD, as Batch assignment is mandatory i specified batch and proceed further for stock posting.

System is allowing me to clear stock of 1st line item (10) for rest of 35 qty (items2,&3)  it is giving me error message M 7 022.

Please help.

An inspection lot must have only one batch number or none in SAP. (you can check table QALS-CHARG)

The lot summary works well if material without batch management.

But the lot summary does not work for batch because an insp. lot can has only one batch number even if several batch number should be entered when movement.

So you may have to create separate inspection lot for different materials even those has been received from single PO.

Elaborating issue for clear understanding.

same material is maintained as 2-3 line items in P.O

if all line items have same batches in migo 103 G.R then ideally there should not be more than one inspection lot as per the setting in Material master which is perfectly working fine by creating 1 insp lot.

even if we assign batch at 103 GR system wont update in material doc, hence it is making mandatory to i/p batch at UD level, I am specifying batch and proceeding for Stock posting system is giving error as mentioned. Also system is allowing me to manually do 105 GR release into stock, even the Inspection lot has qty (however this is not in inspection stock instead into GR blocked stock) after manually posting GR for 105 system releasing stock into QI and creating inspection lot. but the previous inspection lot still shows qty to be posted status SPST ( for 2 and 3 line item) vwhich is strange.

Hi,

After analysing the issue, I come to the conclusion that Inspection lot for 103 movenent type wont have control on stocks, as the the stock is not in inventory. It is possible to release GR blocked stok even through MIGO and as per SAP and business point of view this is correct. If QA wants control on stocks subjected for Q.I they need to go for inspection lot creation for 101, 105 for Goods recipt against Purchase order.
