How to install Mobile for BO SP4?

Hi,

I have here a new BusinessObjects 4.0 SP4 installation and would like to install mobile. Unfortunately I only find the documentation for SP5, not SP4.

How do I install BO mobile for BO 4.0 SP4? It seems that there a slightly other mobile war-files than for SP5.

Which war-files should I deploy on Tomcat?

Hi Steve,

This is by design behaviour. In BI 4.0 SP4 does not have Mobile Servers any more. Hence, you are not able to see them!!

All services now operate with the MobileBIService.war file.

Just deploy this war file in the webapps folder.

Blackberry or Non BB deployments wont need any Mobile configuration utility tool now.

Every thing would be taken care by the MobileBIService.warfile.

Mobile Server Configuration:

Install mobile server when you install Business Objects Enterprise.

If you have already a BOE server running, install a supported web application server

Deploy WAR files - "MobileBIService.war” from the source location SAP  (BusinessObjects\Mobile 12\Server) file to the following SAP BusinessObjectswebapps.

Confirm configuration values for mobi.properties (To create Mobile Category , also add #Ipad as well)

Verify server is running after restart (http://server:port/MobileBIService/MessageHandlerServlet?message=GetVersion) , if the webpage shows success then the configuration is completed.
