Contract header cancellation details is not flowing to items

Hi

I am trying to cancel a contract in va41. The data entered in the header is not getting copied automatically to the item.

Please let me know the possibilities causing this issue.

My requirement is if I cancel it in header it should copy to all lin items.

Note: In my case, contract end date differs from header to item.

A little bit confusion on this for me .Actually , we can cancel any document in Change Mode VA42 but Creation Mode  without create ,How can you cancel document ?

Please share some inputs on this as exactly what you are trying in your system ? . If possible share some screen shots on this .
