Sales unit per Customer

Hello

I know that we can have different sales units per distribution channel but is it possible in the same distribution channel to handle the sales unit per customer?

Example:

Material XX with two sales Unit

• Sales unit CAR
• Sales unit PAL

Two customers A and B belonging to the same distribution channel

The sales order for customer A is handled by CAR and for customer B is handled by PAL for the same material XX.

you can also specify the unit in CMIR but once the sales unit is activated in material master it is Applicable to all customers

Can you share how to change the UOM in CMIR in VD51 as it picks up the base uom and which is non modifiable.

On the other hand I agree with the views of Shiva Ram & G Lakshmipathi in one of your post for the same query of Maher.

HI Maher,

You can have as many no. of alternative uom of measures for a  material.

Not by customer.

But you  can maintain alternatnive UoM for material in MM03 and you can create order with any of this

UOM for the same material and customer.

You can use 1st  alternative UoM for customer1

Youcan use the second alternative  UOM for different customer..

I don't think so system will get unit of measure automatically as per your requirement. As mentioned by Krishna you have to select it manually or maintain a Z table with customer number and unit of measure and add logic in MV45AFZZ to get unit of measure customer wise.

I feel the user exit is the only method, but there is a UOM Group field in the Customer Master that you can use too limit the UoM's for the customer and then compare it with the Item UoM in the sales order.

Hi,

I hope its possible with standard,

go to MM02>Sales:Sale Org1 tab click on Additional Data button>Unit of measure

Base unit of measure is EA and Sale unit is CAR and PAL

I can  change manually while creation of Sale order based on the customer.

Hi,

You can default the sales unit of measure with USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP in the include MV45AFZZ
