ChaRM: iBase for not yet installed production system

Hi,

I'd like to ask a generic question: our production system is not yet installed, but we will use ChaRM for the implementation. The ChaRM process would need an iBase for the production system at creation of the Change Document. How should we maintain the iBase? Is it necessary to also create one "planned" production system in SMSY in order to make it work?

Hello Kris,

If your production system is not ready yet, you could use a virtual system instead and create a Ibase component of that virtual system.

Could you maybe explain your second question more?

Hi Kris,

see this blog http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-31352 to create a virtual system. When you created a virtual system, you can assign this virtual system as production system in your logical component.

So you can activate CHaRM. Then when the real production system is ready you replace the virtual system.
