Print problem on Unicode device type

Morning experts,

I have a problem with my unicode device type (since a long time now):

I have installed the HPUTF8 device type (see note 750219) in the system.

In list handling, I changed the Printer driver to HPL2 Printer driver for PCL-5.

Output looks fine, I have the "Zebra" layout, grey background and so on. But after each page, printer "prints" one empty page...format is X_58_170.

Does anyone know how I can avoid this waste of paper?

Thanks

Michael

Hello,

You can suppress this additional information page by setting
  rspo/host_spool/burst_pages = 0

in the instance profile and see whether it helps.

Also look at the SAP note: 77540 and follow the suggestions listed in the note.

The profile parameter rspo/host_spool/burst_pages is a 'inofficial' parameter. This means, it is not in the official list of the profile parameters, but the SAP kernel uses it nevertheless.
So you can use it, although you get a warning.

Also review the following SAP notes: 27799 and 3085.

Regards,

David

Hi David,

thanks for your response.

Tried out everything you mentioned - but nothing changed 😞

Maybe you have more ideas?

Regards

Michael

Hello,

The blnk page is not produced by SAP (you can verify with SAP note 5799, method 2).

So the workarounds here:

Please see SAP note 3085 for possible solutions.
