Hi Gurus,
Here I am facing one issue; please help me to solve it.
I have installed Solution Manager 7.1 SP08 and performed configuration steps, now I am doing managed system configuration. During here I have doubt..
My requirement is already all managed systems are maintained in other Solman 7.0 ehp1 SLD so I had setup sldsynch between existing SLD to this new SLD, synch job completed successfully and am able to see all systems in solman_setup managed systems but all systems as red (I hope because of product assignment etc..)
So here I have started to perform managed system configuration for one system however I am bit confused here during selection of “diagnostic agent”, am able to see only one agent (which is central SLD). How to get agent of managed system here? Do I need to select present solman agent or managed system agent?
For screens please find attachments. Thanks in advance
Thanks,
Venkat

Hi Venkat,
SMD agents only connect to one system.
So you will have to make a choice here, or install an additional agent on your managed system.
I suggest you do the last, for a smooth transition.
Register the new agents in your new SLD and you'll see them popping up in the screen.
If you don't want to install new agents you can use the smdsetup script to register the agents in your "new" sld.

David

Hi David,
Thanks for your reply.
As per my understanding, we need to install SMD agents in all managed systems?
right now my managed system is having installed SMD (DAA), so now how to register them in solman?
one more thing is here am unable to see solution manager 7.1 agent itself? how do i see it in agent list?
Thanks a lot.
Venkat
Hi,
As per your suggestion I am trying to register managed system SMD agent to Solution Manager 7.1. for this i have executed below commands.
smdsetup managingconf hostname:"sapms://solman hostname" port:"8101" user:"SMD_ADMIN" pwd:"XXXX"
smdsetup sldconf hostname:”solman hostname” port:”50000” user:”SLDDSUSER” pwd:”XXXX”
above commands completed successfully, but after that i tried to start DAA and it is not starting and unable to find a solution for this.

Hi Roman,
First thing is there was no files under usr/sap/DAA/SYS/exe/jvm/NTADM64/
then i have created a folder manually with name sapjvm_6.1.031 and placed sapjvm_6.lst file changed file content lines as above attached screen.
Since i have logged in with administrator rights so no permission issues.
Note: before registering this DAA into Solman it was running fine but after executing commands to register am facing this issue.
Please help me on this.
Thanks,
Venkat

Hi Roman,
Now am managed to solve this issue by removing LF character for lines. after removing i restarted this time no more errors in sapcpe_sapjvm_6.log but still am unable to start DAA
after removing character sapjvm_6.lst as below:
sapjvm_6.lst
sapjvm_6
sapjvmmanifest.mf
From other logs am able to see error as below: dev_flightrec.log:
