PO error: External document number XXXXX already assigned.

Hi everyone,

The PO XX has been created in SRM and replicated to backend system. However when we change the price and tried to order we are getting this error. Can anyone please explain, why the error is coming. we have changed the price of PO before but we use to not get this kind of error.

Please explain.

Your PO is locked in backend. Check it please.

How will I identify whether th PO is locked or not. fine I can see PO in ME23N but what is the indication for locked PO. and how how to unlock it if the PO is locked.

go to ME23N and check at item level if the PO is locked or search in EKPO for the lock indicator.
