How to enable SOAP 1.2 for external webservice?

Hello Experts,

We are trying to consume an external webservice on ECC 6, we are able to create the proxy on SE80 and the logical port using soamanager, the problem is that by default the transport binding is set to SOAP 1.1, the people responsible for the webservice claim that we must use SOAP 1.2 or it won´t work, but only 1.1 is active in the transport binding field.

I check the wsdl using soapUI and it creates bindings for versions 1.1 and 1.2, I also tried to create the logical port manually but still only SOAP 1.1 is available.

So is it possible to enable SOAP 1.2 in the transport binding field in soamanager?

Hi Ed

SOAP 1.2 is available starting from SAP NetWeaver 7.02. You can find a full list of supported standards here. In older releases only SOAP 1.1 can be used.
