Packing in shipment through BAPI_HU_PACK

Dear experts,

I want to create shipment and pack the materials through BAPi, To create shipment I used "BAPI_SHIPMENT_CREATE". This is working fine, I am getting expected results and shipment number and handling unit getting created.

Now I want to pack the materials in handing unit thus created. Hence I am using BAPi "BAPI_HU_PACK". I have passed all the required values still I am getting the error "Processing of HUs for selected objects not possible".

I have searched the forum and tried by passing all combination of data, but could not succed.

Check OSS Note 581282 - Packing of deliveries via BAPI or function module , is of any help with your requirements.

Thanks for reply. I could conclude from the note is that this BAPi cannot be used to pack deliveries in shipment.

Kindly guide then how do I proceed. Let me know any of the way to solve the problem.

You can try with FM WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE as mentioned in the note . Discuss with your technical team as I am not an ABAP expert.
