Hi All,

I am new to the Hana world and trying to get hands on it.

I have got the 30 days trial version of Hana environment also.

I have created some schema in the Hana studio and trying to get the data into that schema from some other SAP system.

what I have got so far is that, one approach is via using SLT.

But my concern is that where is this SLT which is nothing but a netweaver application. But i not getting any clue about the SLT .

Kindly help me with some suitable docs and also correct me my understanding is wrong.

Thanks in advance.

With Regards,

Gopal Gupta

HI Ravi,

My requirement is to get some data from one sap system into Hana environment so that I can work on it. I dont want to create entries directly into the hana system.

I have a separate SAP system, so can you guide me how to link with the SLT server.

Though its not a separate system, then how can i get access or link to my SAP system.

Do guide .

Thanks in advance.

Gopal

Gopal,

As you might know that SLT is one of the Data Provisioning mechanisms available to pump data into SAP HANA Database, this SLT requires some setup.

Briefly,

- SLT can be setup on an SAP instance based on Netweaver 7.02,

- Based on the source and replication server release and also on SAP Hana revision, you need to      deploy the corresponding DMIS add-on on to the source and the replication (SLT) server.

- Configure the schema in replication server using LTR transaction. Remember there are few other    preparations to be taken care prior to this.

All details are available at - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_hana/hana_slt_tom_en.pdf.

Hope it helps to setup the SLT scenario correctly.

Any queries, please let me know.

Hi Gopal,

If you have separate SLT system:

Follow the DMIS_2010 installation procedure in SAP note 1468391

•Apply latest available support package on top of the DMIS installation

SLT system installation

Use this section to install the required DMIS_2010_700 component in your SLT host system

Procedure

•Follow the DMIS_2010_700 installation procedure in SAP note 1468391

•Apply SP04 on top of the DMIS installation.

If it is not separate SLT system:

Follow the DMIS_2010_700 installation procedure in SAP note 1468391

•Apply SP04 on top of the DMIS installation.
