Hi ,

For eg: sapbackup is your backup folder where you intend to store backup files.

I suppose you have defined the backup medium as

Y:\sapbackup  ( Where Y:\ is the mapped drive )

Instead you try with this option

\\<IP address of share folder>\spabackup

Ensure share folder ( for eg: sapbackup) has full permission to everyone.

Hope this helps

realy thank you.

I did this : \\<IP address of share folder>\spabackup

But unfortunately always the same error :

Error: Could not open stream(-903)

Hi,

Is this backup folder shared and has full permission to everyone ??

Please share dbm.prt, dbm.ebp and dbm.ebl log file details when you get this error

Hi,

Do the following

1) Post the ouput of

dbmcli -d <db_name> -u control,<pwd> medium_getall

2) Secondly check the owner and permissions to

      \\Server\SAP\SSM\Full\Data\Cold_Bck_Full_Data_SSM.bck

It should sdb as the owner or it should have full permission to everyone user.

Hope this helps.

For

permissions to

      \\Server\SAP\SSM\Full\Data\Cold_Bck_Full_Data_SSM.bck

backup fails before then there is no file to see the owner.

When medium is local (G:\BDD_Backup\Full\Data) the owner is sdb operator.

Thanks and regards.

Hi,

You need to get full permissions to this medium for user sdb:operator.

\\Server\SAP\SSM\Incr\Logs\Cold_Bck_Incr_Log_SSM.bck
