Request / task does not exist : SPAM applying

Hi ,

Environment : ECC5 , OS : WIN 2003 , DB : MS SQL 2000

I have taken imge copy of production for sandbox prepration and I started working. While applying SPAM/SAINT on ( production server copy ) getting message Request / task does not exist

"

How to correct this error?

I have unistalled central installed and I reinstalled. now its working.

Hi Abdul,

I have seen all the blogs, but that is not related to my issue.

While upgrade SPAM/SAINT from 640. 43 to 46 getting this message. 

please find below logs for  RDDIMPDP job.

please check the below solutions

'Request/task does not exist' .

Solution

      1. Please import the request attached to this note and restart the support package import. The request is archived in a SAPCAR file. You have to unpack the request with the command:
                    SAPCAR -xvf CE3K004421.SAR
in the DIR_TRANS directory of your system ( i.e. /usr/sap/trans ).

 If you have left the field 'Name of Correction' empty on the first selection screen you will then be asked to provide the Transport
Request number. You can select it from already existed ones or create a new one. However if you specify anything(!) in the field 'Name of correction' on the first selection screen and the specified TT does NOT exist (generic input is not allowed there) you will get an error message 'Request/Task xxx does not exist' (TR 806). In that case please go to the first screen and fill out this field correctly, or leave it completely empty. Then repeat the selection again.

Hi,

While uncar the SPAM , its not created .ATT file. Its created only .PAT file.

   Is this is the issue?

hi Siva,

Please download the file again and apply it.

You can apply the spam via SPAM tcode mean just load this .SAR and click on

SPAM --> Support Package --> Import SPAM/SAINT Update
