Friends:
We have a BW system based on UNIX/Oracle and it has a HANA system.
Now we plan to migrate this BW to NT/DB2.
-- can the existing hana system be used without any change?
-- if not , how to change the existing hana in order to use it with the migrated system?
Thanks!
Not a HANA expert, but if you are using HANA as a sidecar then it should be fine. You simply need to make sure the data replication works.
Also, HANA has been released as a primary DB. Would you not rather use it instead of DB2?

Thanks for your reply.
We have 2 production systems PD1 and PD2 which share the same hana as a sidecar.
Can we migrate ONLY PD1 to the hana DB while leaving PD2 unchanged? i.e. can our current
hana be changed from a sidecar for both PD1/PD2 to a DB host for PD1 and a sidecar for PD2?
If so, is the heterogeneous copy guide to a target MaxDB enough to perform the migration?
Best regards.
