Hi Mike,

Hope you are doing great !

Thing is, we had actually assumed the componenet as xMII - so we din't include budget for Pco.  Now since we are getting MII 12.2, we are afraid the budget has frozn up !  so, I was wondering if,

A. Can I use UDS with MII 12.2 to read tags ?

B. If A is not possible. Can I use open connector and get the job done simply.

watsay Mike ?  Thanking you in anticipation.

Best Regards

A: yes you can, but the PCo license comes included with MII.

Thank you - Mike and Jeremy !

Now I know Pco comes included in the product and I can use UDS with MII 12.2 as well.

I'll check for the version compatability of UDS that goes with MII 12.2.

Hi Ankit,

Glad Jeremy jumped in to answer A.  PCo supercedes UDS which, I believe, has been decremented.  So given the choice between the two, go with PCo.  There are also features in PCo and 12.2 meant to work together and offer more functionality.

B: Depending upon what historian you are using, there may be other connection alternatives available without using PCo, but it would hardly be the recommended way to proceed.

Hey Mike/Jeremy ,

We're connecting with PolyHedra DBMS (SCADA VANTAGE ).

If we leave Pco and UDS anything/connector crosses your mind that can make successfull connection.

Hi Ankit,

Recommend using PCo.  That is its purpose.  Why do you wish to not use PCo?
