SLD-strategy in 2 Solman landscape

Hello!

We would like to set up second productive SAP Solution Manager.

Are there any disadvantages (e.g. Performance) for having SLD locally on the SOLMAN server?

We would to use this Solution Manager for the new Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure/Technical Monitoring.

Hi Alex,

There is no disadvantage in having local SLD in solution manager

But SAP, doesnt recommend to use Solution manager as central SLD, since due to high availablity , choose the system under HA environment for central sld

Should some activities be done in case of Solman system copy (PROD to DEV) and usage the same SLD on DEV Solman regarding LMDB and LMDB object name server?

1) LMDB on DEV Solman points to LMDB on PROD Solman and LMDB object name server on DEV Solman has the same name of PROD Solman

2) LMDB on DEV Solman points to LMDB on PROD Solman and LMDB object name server on DEV Solman has the other name than on PROD Solman

3) despite of the usage the same SLD on both Solman systems, the DEV Solman has its own LMDB and following the other object name server than on PROD Solman
