Hi Gurus

We are using condition based tax procedure for excise. But, its written there in the help file that, if we are using formula based condition type only we need to fill excise condition types there. So is it like we need to put only CVD condition in TAXINN

Sidhu

First you need to understand difference between TAXIINN (cndition based) and TAXINJ (formula based) tax procedures.

Your question in not self explainatory. What I guess is you are confused on maintaining conditon values.

TAXIIN-Use FV11

TAXINJ-Use FTXP for maintaining condition values.

Hi Sidhu,

If you are using TAXINN, this is what the excise default table should
look like.. (J_1iexcdef) in case of Imports.

Column   Condition

CVD         JCV1  >> Not classified
AP BED      JMX1  >> Shd be  classified as BED Set off total
AP AED      JAX1  >> Shd be  classified as AED Set off total
AP ECS      JEX1  >> Shd be  classified as ECS Set off total
ECS Import  JECV  >> Not classified
ADC         JADC  >> Not classified
AP AT1      JHX1  >> Shd be  classified as AT1 Set off total

Do not assign J1CV here.

The classficiation shd be for the tax procedure & condition type in the
table "Classify condition types". Imports conditions SHOULD NOT BE
CLASSIFIED (J_1iexcdefn).

Hi Sidhu,

What you have mentioned in the above thread is correct or holds good incase of Condition based tax determination - TAXINN where you only need to maintain the CVD condition - JCV1 in Excise Defaults.

The rest of the conditions you maintain in the Classify condition types setting in the below path.

SPRO - LG - Tax on Goods Movs - India - Basic Settings - Determination of Excise Duty - Condition-Based Excise Determination - Classify Condition Types

Only for Formula Based tax determination - TAXINJ we will maintain all the exise A/P , A/R excise conditions in the Excise defaults settings.

Hope it helps.
