how to start authomatic sap on linux

hi all.

i have portal 7.3 cluster on unix .

my profile are:

scs

defualt

j00

-----

i want to start authomatic the sap when the server are reboot .

i add the parameter - Autostart = 1 - in the defualt profile.

but the sap does not start.

what i need to do more, please?

Check the SAP note 823941.

Hi,

Automatic restart of SAP instances using SAP kernel 6.40 or above
Provided that you are using SAP kernel 6.40 or above, you may follow SAP
notes 995116 and 823941 if you want to configure automatic restart of
SAP instances.

However, for older SAP releases (SAP kernel 4. x) there is currently no
solution for automatic restart of SAP instances available from SAP.

Check /etc/init.d and rcX.d scripts feature.

Hi Yossi,

You may need to incorporate startsap and stopsap scripts within cluster software to automate the process.

Basically once the server reboots, it will bring up the host first , then cluster s/w starts which shall mount the required file systems and start the database and application.
