We want to know if we should apply the same procedure in an ECC System or not, because we have only found documentation about PI environment and nothing regarding ECC.
We only want to know the SAP recommendation about this.
The procedure is exactly the same for ECC as in PI. You need to configure the Archive and/or Delete jobs to run on the specific client on the ECC system. There is no specific documentation for ECC as the same steps need to be completed as in the PI.
How many days old messages can you see in SAP ECC? If you consider SXMB_MONI, I don't think you will find huge number of messages. Other than SXMB_MONI where are you seeing XML messages in ECC?
Many thanks for your quick response, actually we run the report "rsxmb_show_reorg_status" . Since the archiving has never been performed in ECC we have about 500000 messages, that's why we would like to know if SAP recommends to proceed as in PI.
