Hi everybody,

after Installing the MaxDB Database Studio 7.9 for Windows x64 on my Win 7 Client I get the folling error when starting:

My C:\sapdb\clients\DatabaseStudiodbstudio.ini looks as follows (already added the last both lines manually):

-vmargs

-Djavax.security.auth.useSubjectCredsOnly=false

-Djava.security.auth.login.config=login.conf

-Djava.security.krb5.conf=krb5.ini

-vm

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe

Has anybody been facing the same issue and was able tho solve it?

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Phillip

Hi Philip,

Refer this SAP note

Note 1307100 - Database Studio does not start on Windows computers

Hi Deepak,

thanks for your advice.

Unfortunately setting the parameter as mentioned in that note didn't help.

The mentioned option isn't available in the standard dbstudio.ini also.

Phillip

Hi Philip,

Refer SAP Note 1097311 - SAP MaxDB Database Studio installation

Section : Causes for Database Studio not running

Hope this helps.

Many thanks for this advice.

Obviously the error was caused by a missing x64 JRE- after installing it and pointing to it in the ini-file the error doesn't occur anymore.

(Therefore I get a Java-error, but as this seems not to be a SAP-related error I'll consider my question resolved).

Thanks a lot again.

Regards,

Phillip
