Dear Experts,

I want to improve performance of our SAP ERP 6.

Many reports takes lots of time and sometime TIME_OUT occurs.

I want to Tune up server. I have searched over Internet and found many profile parameters but i don't know what value i should assign.

Kindly help me.

Server details:

SAP ERP 6

Oracle 11.0.2

Windows Server 2008 R2

RAM 36GB

SWAP: 80GB

HELLO

First identify the exact cause of performance degradation: useful t codes

ST03N: used to check the response time and will help to analyse which component of the dialog is taking more time.

STAD: provide statistical information on system performance

SM66, SM50: will give details on work process globally and locally.

ST04: check DB performance

STO6: chek os performance.

ST07: check application usage.

ST10: check table call statistics

ST05: perform a sql trace.

Following sap note will give some idea on parameter values:

Note 103747 - Performance: Parameter recommendations as of Release 4.0

Note 384971 - System parameters for high interface load

This is a very broad subject, SAP provides a 5 day training course for this BC315 Workload Analysis and Performance.

You should consider getting some formal training.
